Malaysian company builds hydropower plant

(KPL) The Asia Pacific Business Link Sdn Bhd Co.,Ltd (AP Bizlink) of Malaysia will be building a 130-megawatt Nampha power project, which will encompass the territory of two provinces, Long district in the northern Luang Namtha province and Meung district in the neighbouring Bokeo province.

The USD 350-million construction work on the hydropower plant will commence next year and is scheduled for completion in 2015.

The agreement of this construction project was signed on August 20 between Minister of Planning and Investment, Mr. Thongmy Phomvisay and President of AP Bizlink, Mr. Datuk Low Siak Wei, in Vientiane.

The AP Bizlink has its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and its business interests are power project development, mining and construction.
